Technical Requirements Specification

A technical requirements specification creates a shared understanding of what is to be built before development begins. We translate business needs into concrete requirements for Shopify, functionality, data, integrations, and the systems surrounding the platform.

The requirements specification is normally developed together with the client during Discovery, with a Solution Engineer involved from the start. We describe dependencies and technical choices at a level that makes it possible to set scope and plan the implementation.

The document can then serve as the basis for solution architecture, sprint planning, delivery scheduling, and fixed-price agreements.
