2. What the app does
Sitoo sync by Stride connects a merchant’s Shopify store with Sitoo to synchronize product data, warehouses, inventory, publications, and selected product settings. The app also supports billing status checks, sync logs, and scheduled sync operations.
3. Information we collect
We may collect and process the following information:
- Shopify store information, including store domain, shop ID, and app installation status
- Shopify billing and subscription status related to the app plan
- Sitoo connection information, such as site name, account ID, site ID, and API credentials
- Product data needed for sync, including product titles, SKUs, descriptions, prices, images, categories, vendor or manufacturer information, variants, metafields, and publication settings
- Warehouse and inventory data, including warehouse names, locations, inventory quantities, and inventory mapping information
- Order and fulfillment data when required for Shopify to Sitoo inventory reduction flows
- Sync logs, error logs, run status, and operational metadata
- Support messages and information merchants send to us directly
We do not intentionally collect more data than is needed to run the app.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Connect Shopify and Sitoo accounts

- Publish new products to selected Shopify sales channels when configured by the merchant
- Reduce Sitoo inventory based on Shopify order-created or fulfillment-created events when enabled
- Enforce app plan limits and sync restrictions
- Show sync status, logs, warnings, and errors
- Diagnose issues and improve reliability
- Provide support
- Comply with legal and platform obligations
5. Order and customer data
Some app features process order-related data from Shopify, especially when reducing stock in Sitoo after an order is created or fulfilled.
We use this data only to provide the sync functionality requested by the merchant. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
If customer personal data appears in Shopify payloads that are necessary for these workflows, we process only what is needed to perform the sync and support the merchant’s use of the app.
6. Sync logs and operational data
The app stores sync logs so merchants can see what happened during product, warehouse, inventory, and reverse-inventory syncs.
These logs may include:
- sync type
- timestamps
- product or SKU references
- warehouse or location names
- order or fulfillment references
- success and failure messages
- technical diagnostics
Logs are used for troubleshooting and support. They are not used for marketing.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data.
We may share information only with the systems required to operate the app, including Shopify and Sitoo, and with the infrastructure used to host and run the app. We do not use separate marketing, analytics, or customer support platforms.
We only share information that is necessary to operate the app or comply with legal obligations.
8. Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed to:
- provide the app
- maintain sync history and logs
- support merchants
- enforce plan and billing state
- meet legal, accounting, or compliance obligations
When the app is uninstalled, we may remove merchant-specific configuration and Sitoo credentials. We may retain limited logs or records where needed for support, debugging, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or billing reconciliation.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Merchant responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for ensuring they have the rights and notices needed to process customer data and for complying with applicable privacy laws and platform requirements.
11. Legal basis for processing
Depending on the situation and the merchant’s location, we process information because it is necessary to:
- provide the services the merchant asked us to provide
- operate the app and maintain the merchant relationship
- comply with legal obligations
- support legitimate business purposes such as security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
12. Your rights
Depending on where you or your customers are located, data protection laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data.
If you want to exercise any rights related to data processed through the app, contact us at sitoosync@stride.se.
13. International transfers
Because we operate internationally and use the Shopify platform and Sitoo to provide the service, information may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated where appropriate.
